They reach him and \"Linda\" destroys the letter but not before Blade has read the page.  He accepts the Other's offer of the opportunity to revenge himself against everything unnatural.  He is then turned into Switchblade, a being capable of absorbing the magical abilities of everyone that he destroys.  He kills Hannibal King and John Blaze and sets off to kill everyone else that is magical.
